Giulio Troncarelli
After graduating from the Polytechnic University of Turin in 1992 with a degree in Electronic Engineering, between 1994 and 1998 Giulio was a member of the Governing Board of AEM Torino (now Iren) where he was responsible for tasks in the field of organisation and strategic planning.
In 1999 he joined the Altran Group where he developed the Energy and Utilities Practice. He then became Director for Italy and a member of the International Board. As part of the integration of Arthur D. Little into the Altran group, he helped develop a new change management and market positioning strategy.
In 2013 he joined Arthur D. Little in the Practice Technology and Innovation Management sector where he was involved with M&A operations and supported the start-up of technology companies.
From 2006 to 2013 he was a member of the Executive Committee of AIGET (the Italian Association of Energy Wholesalers and Traders) during which time he assumed the role of Coordinator of the Gas Area and represented the Association during the creation of the Gas Exchange.
Since 2015 he has been pursuing an entrepreneurial path in the field of energy markets. He has launched two start-ups and taken on the role of Advisor at leading Energy, Energy Efficiency and Innovation companies.
Massimo Vitali
After graduating from the Polytechnic University of Turin in 1996 with a degree in Computer Engineering, between 1995 and 1996 Massimo worked at a leading Robotics company where he developed a robot for three-dimensional laser cutting.
In 1996, he continued to build on his previous experience by working at a software development company where he consolidated his knowledge of complex network architectures and the object oriented approach to application development.
Since 1999 he has been working on another initiative with Mec Informatica, a leading company operating in the supply of applications for the management of real estate assets and public works. As Technical and Architectural Manager, he oversees the technical choices made by the company and is the contact person for the company’s main Clients, including national banks and insurance companies.
In 2003, he joined the Altran Group where he was tasked with developing an IT platform to manage the, then new, process of liberalising the energy markets. Thanks to this experience he soon became the company’s point of reference for issues related to shipping gas. He also took on the role of external consultant for the activities of AIGET (the Italian Energy Wholesalers and Traders Association).
In 2008, again within the Altran group, he assumed the role of Manager and then Senior Manager. During this time, he was responsible for developing the ICT market/Organisation of Utilities by managing national relations with leading Italian energy companies and coordinating employees based throughout the country.
In 2013 he decided to leave the Altran group to join Arthur D. Little where he was involved with Practice Technology and Innovation Management to support the start-up processes of technology companies in the energy market.
Since 2015, he has pursued an entrepreneurial path in the energy markets sector. He has launched two start-ups, taken on CIO and CEO positions and contributed to the creation of a Cloud services platform for the energy market.
